One of the most popular of Majorca’s Christmas fairs and markets is the one held at Lluc Monastery, and this year it will run from this coming Saturday, 5 December, to Tuesday, 8 December (both Monday and Tuesday next week are public holidays).

The fair will be open from 10am to 6pm on each of the four days and there will be more than forty stalls selling Christmas gifts and products as well as craft, food jewellery and ecological products.

Features of the fair will include the artisan “turrones” (nougats) of Miquel Casasayas and a children’s merry-go-round. On Tuesday, a benefit concert in aid of the Escolania (the school of the Blauets’ choir) will be performed by the chamber group from the University of the Balearic Islands. The price is ten euros.
