Dear Sir, I wonder if you would consider publishing the following plea for information?

After spending several very pleasant holidays in the city of Palma, my partner and myself - both keen and experienced hillwalkers - are planning to walk in the mountains of the Serra Tramuntara in late summer.

We are planning a vaguely circular route starting in either Deia or Soller and taking a Northerly route to Lluc and a more Southerly way back, taking in the Castel de Alaro. We have, however, found information on accommodation (hostals, small hotels, inns etc) very hard to locate. Can any Daily 'B' readers recommend any such accomodation? Also could anyone tell us if the mountain refuges marked on maps are open to all walkers or only to members of specific clubs? We both love Majorca and would be so grateful if any readers could help with this information.

Thank you so much, Yours faithfully
Judith S Ford
Wigan.
