Majorcan police yesterday recovered the body of a German missing since 1995. Gunter Ulrich had been murdered, according to police. His body was found under a layer of cement at an isolated farm-house near Capdepera. Majorcan police, who are working with their German counterparts, suspect a gangland style killing. Ulrich was last seen alive in Majorca in the middle of 1995. Police arrived at the farm-house early yesterday morning armed with picks and shovels and a JCB tractor. By mid-morning they had discovered the body which was taken to the Forensic Institute in Palma where a full autopsy will be carried out to discover the exact causes of death. This latest killing highlights the fear that the German mafia has moved into the island. Over the last five years there have been at least 10 murders involving Germans.
