This morning representatives from the International Air Carriers Association will be meeting operations bosses at Palma's Son San Joan airport to discuss the summer season ahead and in what shape the airport is in in order to deal with the forecast 20 million passengers this year. Yesterday IACA's operations director Dick Holder, who will also be meeting with the airport director later this morning, said that passenger numbers are still very difficult to assertain at the moment across Europe for the summer, and he doubts that the increase in the number of British tourists coming to the balearics this year will be as high as the forecast rise of ten per cent.
