President of the Balearic Port Authority, Francesc Triay, today sets off for Miami to take part in the Seatrade Cruise Shipping Convention. The Balearics has a stand at the trade fair, which has been set up by the Port Authority and Ibatur, to promote the region on the US market. Ibatur wants to see the number of cruise ships and passengers visiting the Balearics continue rising, especially in the off season months, in order to help decentralise the tourist season. During the trip Francesc Triay will also collect an award given to Palma by the British magazine Dream World Cruise Destinations for the port which has best improved its installations and facilities.
