A Spanish policeman and several workers were injured yesterday when shipyard workers clashed with police for the second straight day, officials in the northern region of Asturias said. Shipyard workers in the city of Gijon have been in dispute with the company Naval Gijon since February 10 over management cost-cutting plans. Wednesday's incidents were the most serious since the dispute began, police said. Eight policemen were injured by Molotov cocktails and hand-held rockets, a spokesman said. On Wednesday, at least one worker was seriously injured and about 30 people were bruised, a journalist at the scene reported.
