Commander-in-chief of the Balearic Military Zone, Tomas Formentin, yesterday presided over the official sending-off for the battalion eventually bound for Bosnia. The troops from Mahon will form part of the Spanish military operation in Bosnia and since February 15 have been training for their new mission. For the moment the battalion will be based on Cordoba on the mainland while the unit is assembled and then be deployed in Bosnia next month.
