The threat of March showers on Sunday did nothing to deter the island's animal lovers who flocked to Puerto Portals for the third annual Cat Show. In keeping with the port's cosmopolitan image, the exhibitors were a multi-national group including British, German, and Danish owners as well as a strong local Spanish contingent. Like the humans, the cats on show were also many and varied including Persians, Burmese, Angoras, Norwegian Forests, Burmillas and Siamese, not forgetting some really splendid moggies known more respectfully in the cat fancy as DSH's (Domestic Short Hairs).
