The new marina along Palma's Paseo Maritimo, being promoted by British firm Richard Ellis, is starting to take shape. The 700 million peseta project has a single main quay and will create 152 new moorings. This new yacht club will go along way to resolving the lack of berths which exists in Majorca during the summer months. The marina has a surface area of 60'000 square metres. It should be completed in about eight months time. It will be able to accommodate yachts of between seven and 25 metres. The local nautical industry has welcomed the project.
