SCOTTISH former World Rally Champion Colin McRae got behind the wheel of a rather different machine to what he is normally accustomed to yesterday when he became the proud owner of a Targa 43 Fairline at the yacht club in the Port of Pollensa where he was handed the keys by Port Fairline Pollensa's Russell Currie. McRae, accompanied by his wife Alison and little daughter Holly, arrived in Majorca a few days ago, returning to Europe after finishing second in the New Zealand Rally. Now McRae, who obtained his helicopter licence in Majorca last year, intends to base himself on the island for the next three months with his family, jetting backwards and forwards to the rallies. He was extremely pleased with his new yacht yesterday and said that he is much more satisfied with his rally cars and can seriously think about winning instead of retiring from races. McRea's teammate Spaniard Carlos Sainz is also expected to be popping over to Majorca after the next race in Finland.
