German supermodel/ actress Claudia Schiffer jetted out of Majorca yesterday after a short break at her Camp de Mar luxury villa alone and her split from British boyfriend Tim Jeffries was the talk of the town. Schiffer has apparently confirmed that she has broken off her engagement to businessman Tim Jeffries, whom she met on board Italian designer Valentino's super yacht cruising Ibiza and Majorca during the summer of 1999, but has not give any reasons why. According to the New York Daily News, friends of Jeffries say it's because he doesn't have enough money to keep up with Schiffer's expensive tastes and also refused to sign a pre-nuptial agreement. The couple were supposed to have married in May but the ceremony never happened. They had both gone on record saying they would marry and denied claims their relationship was a sham. Earlier this year, as her relationship with Jeffries developed in the public eye, she said she was finally having a real life - no longer dominated by her work or relationship with American magician David Copperfield. “I've fallen in love and since then I live differently. I meet up with friends, go out and my work is no longer the most important thing,” she told a German magazine. She said she spent so much time and energy on her career as a model that she hardly had time for friends. “I missed a lot over the years. I actually have only two people who I would describe as real friends. But I don't regret it,” she said. The German, who turned 30 on August 25, said she is not worried about getting older, citing women such as Isabella Rossellini and Bo Derek as older heroines.
