Team Adventure is one the largest and fastest catamarans in the world and she and her crew, currently moored in Puerto Portals, have recently completed round the world regatta The Race. Team Adventure which can fly like the wind, completed The Race when she sailed into Marseilles on March 24, 82 days, 20 hours, 21 minutes and 2 seconds after she set out from Barcelona with a crew of 14. Only nine of which, however, managed to finish the race. She led the event for the first 5'000 miles, but a ten metre-plus wave struck the catamaran off Cape Town, injuring one of the crew and setting her back into third, the position she commanded until she crossed the finish line. With skipper Cam Lewis at the helm, Team Adventure covered 29'773 miles since the boat left Barcelona nearly three months ago averaging a speed of 14.97 knots. To maximize survival and speed, Team Adventure designed a 110 foot, twin-hulled boat with a 60 foot beam width and a mast towering close to 150 feet. With no keel to weigh her down, the boat is fast and stable.
