The Balearic Ministry for Agriculture has agreed to help fund a series of experiments at the Soller Botanical gardens this year. The Ministry said yesterday that it is to provide the gardens with three million pesetas to help a number of experiments to save and cultivate autoctonous plants. The accord was signed yesterday by local Agriculture Minister Mateu Morro and the director of the gardens, José Luis Gradaille. The Ministry and the gardens have been involved in a number of joint projects and experiments in the past and Morro believes that further co-operation should be encouraged for the future.
