Firemen had a busy night on Friday, extinguishing a series of rubbish container blazes across Inca. According to the local police, all of the fires were started intentionally. The arsonist or arsonists started the rampage at 4am and during a period of 30 minutes, set light to five rubbish containers. Four were located in public streets while the fifth was in a supermarket car park which caused damage to the building and power cables. The local police have mounted an investigation in a bid to catch the culprits, however there are fears that the arsonists may have come from elsewhere in Majorca. Of late, setting rubbish containers alight has become a popular pastime for teenagers all over the island.
