Part of a ceiling in the coroner's office in the Via Alemanya court house fell down, leading to protests from functionaries, who consider the building in very poor condition. The incident occurred over the weekend, in the office occupied by a psychologist, who was uninjured. An inspection of the office, which was refurbished in 1998, showed that there were also cracks in the walls. It is believed that the problem may have been caused by damp. The union has filed a complaint with the court and has called for a full investigation. Union officials are also demanding steps be taken to prevent a repetition. A similar incident occurred in one of the corridors in 1998.
