Balearic union bosses are opposed to coach excursions being allowed to operate on June 20, the day of the general strike. While the unions and the local government are working in close co-operation to make sure that minimum services are operating, the unions only intend to respect people's constitutional rights, explaining that they do not believe coach excursions for example, are a constitutional right, and therefore could be under threat. The unions will be holding a meeting tomorrow to finally decide what minimum services will be allowed to go ahead and on Friday, a final draft of strike action will be handed over to the local government. Health and home help service have been classed as essential, along with forest fire fighters, water and energy supply and public transport.
