Reial Mallorca president Mateu Alemany yesterday confirmed the Albert Luque transfer saga would be cleared up in the next few days. Luque has been linked with a move to Deportivo de La Coruña all summer, although Alemany stated, in a probable attempt to raise the striker's price, there were other teams chasing the Barcelona-born 24 year-old. The club with which we have had the most contact is Depor, however that is not to say there are no other clubs interested, said Alemany at a press conference. Alemany added that the possibility of Mallorca selling Luque only for him to be loaned back to the club was out of his hands. If he doesn't want to play a season on loan for us there is nothing I can do. The footballer's wishes always come first, he said, adding Mallorca had ruled out the chance of buying Real Madrid striker Jorge Lopez Marcos Tote.
