Ashlee Caliz Ashlee Caliz

Good morning friends!

The African dust didn't get blown away as much as hoped on Thursday, and it may well linger into Friday. Otherwise, it's expected to be a sunny day with occasional high clouds. Looking ahead to the start of July, weather stations currently suggest a low risk of rain from Monday (the first of July) to Wednesday, with temperatures around 30°C—not quite into July heatwave territory yet. There were some pretty high temperatures on Thursday, reaching up to 35°C in Andratx, but with a wide variation—Capdepera saw a high of just 26.6°C.

Following below is a series of stories of the week we feel will make for a good read, plus The Weather for the weekend, Eating out in Mallorca and viewpoints by our Managing Editor Jason Moore and Deputy Editor Humphrey Carter. Also, news from Real Mallorca by number one fan Monro Bryce.

Whether you are in Mallorca or following us from the UK, we wish you a fantastic weekend and hope to see you on your summer holiday soon!
