Richard PearsonWere you living in Spain (as an adult) when Franco was alive? I was and it’s hard to imagine anyone wanting to go back to those days. If you weren’t then you’ve no idea what you’re talking about.
“Fuelled by media that thrives on inspiring fury and outrage over nonexistent threats, and conversely, ignore real threats” You mean CNN, MSNBC, NYT and WP to mention just a few in regards to, for instance Russiagate ?. By the way, what’s your opinion of Lee Kuan Yew ?
AmbergrilloThere are many in this world who willingly (unwittingly?) champion autocracy, ironically in the name of "democracy". Trump supporters come to mind. If they were just a handful, then the irony would be rather amusing. But anyone can see how many of these alternate reality types are out there, fuelled by media that thrives on inspiring fury and outrage over nonexistent threats, and conversely, ignore real threats. Unfortunately, they actually believe this stuff. Or think they do. Many just let the sun, express and mail tell them what they know "for sure". And in the big picture, that's not particularly amusing.
I wonder how they got to Ibiza? Plane or Ferry!
AmbergrilloObviously you believe in free speech as long as you agree with your interlocutor. If you don’t, you insult them. Grow up.
OMG! Franco? What an nut case you are for saying such a silly thing.
If Franco were still alive he would have this problem sorted within 24 hours. Unfortunately he’s not.
If only these idiots knew how much more pollution and plastics will be needed to fix and re paint this yacht and jet.
If it is anything like the UK they will probably turn out to be trustafarians living off Daddy's hard-earned. Wonder how they got to Ibiza and then to Mallorca. Sailboat? Rowing? Hmm c- just a guess but don't think so. Hope the Spanish are a bit more severe than the wringing wet UK Judiciary. A few months in a closed cell with no central heating might change their attitude to other people's property.
