A sensible name, if it had to be changed, would be Mallorca airport. But we don't do sensible on this island do we?

Ha-ha-ha, hilarious this. The airport is in Palma EOS. Too much money gained by robbers that don't know what else to do with it to line their families pockets.

On all the notice boards in all the airports when looking for your flight to Mallorca the notice board says Palma plain and simple . If they put up the real name everyone would miss their flight lol

I am Confused, why would you pay that kind of money when we call it PMI or Palma airport anyway!!!!

Who books a flight to Son Sant Joan Airport? A flight is booked to PML, Palma Airport. What a total, complete, pointless waste of time, hours and hours of meetings by people in suits, and mountains of paper. Not to mention a waste of 500,000 euros! The sign we see is Aeroperto de Palma De Mallorca. It matters not what else it's called. Why not call the car park or the road in Ramon Llull and save a loaf of money?

What a bunch of moaners. Ramon Llul was a Majorcan writing legend. I applaud the name change and €500k is a bargain. I suggest the ex-pat moaners below bugger off back to their Liverpool John Lennon or George Best Belfast airports!!

What a terrible waste of money!!!! They should take that amount and restore the beautiful windmills around the island, for example......Changing the name of the airport will not bring more visitors to MALLORCA.

No point, especially if you consider how much trouble people will have pronouncing the new name. Tourist can't even pronounce, Soller or Pollenca, good luck with Ramon LLull. Just another stupid idea by the Socialists to waste tax payers money!
