@ Juan love. Whether the vaccinatiin reduces the severity of it depends on the person contracting it, and ang pre-exhisting conditions they mat have. It is not a blanket defence, we've all been told enough times, why is it not sinking in for some people. VACCINATION HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH CONTAGION, OR TRANSISSION OF IT TO OTHERS, OR DIMINISH THE EFFECTS IT MAY HAVE ON THOSE CONTRACTING IT...

Cases are rising nearly everywhere. If more people are being infected as a whole, this would still of course include those vaccinated. This obviously doesn't mean vaccines do not work, or it is the vaccine causing it. The Covid vaccine does not eliminate the virus, it does however reduce the severity of it.
vaccinated people are transmitting the disease to everyone else. once all vaccinatrd get infected with virus, herd immunity will be reached and spread will stop. until then u will see increase in hospitalization of vaccinated and especially non vaccinated.

You asked if people had theories as to why cases are increasing, and myself as well as another commenter offered them. There can be of course a multitude of reasons why this is happening, but it's easier just to pick certain bits of information to suit your own ideas of course. Opinion over truth - as always.

Opinionovertruth- Well it could be due to this varíent being far more dangerous than the previous one? Together with many people believing the amount of toxic sewage floating around the Internet nowadays, spread by people such as yourselves, resulting in people not taking it seriously? Thankfully we will never know what the numbers would be with no vaccine / regulations ect. Nothing totally eliminates Covid, there are however precautions which drastically reduce the chances of catching it. It is up to every individual to do their part.
Critically the Government appear to be doing very little here - the rhetoric alone will not save the season. We need action. Up the vaccination levels pdq. Stop the illegal parties. Introduce sensible curfews and enforce 2 metre/or mass rules. Actually policing rules may help?? Just saying ‘it’s safe here’ doesn’t work ... sadly.
Joan- Of course it depends on the person, as many people have different levels of immunity for starters. Someone I know had the first vaccine recently, 5 days after this, he ended up catching Covid and he is now on 15 hrs of Oxygen a day. To many, this means the vaccine caused it and is therefore useless. In reality, he was found that he cannot produce anti-bodies. This applies to many people for many reasons: Diabetes /Cancer / Undernourishment..... the list goes on and on. This of course does not mean for a second that the vaccine isn't effective or worth refusing. It is all we have in the meantime, and the positives far outweigh the negatives as a whole.
