Ferrán Giner, starting instead of the suspended Lago Junior, took his opportunity to impress in helping Mallorca to their seventh win in eight games. They remain at the top of Segunda B Group 3 with 22 points from a possible 24.

Cornellà, fourth in the league, were expected to pose a decent challenge to Mallorca, and so they did, dominating most of the first half but unable to make a fluent passing game count. After 35 minutes, Giner pounced, scoring with a powerful left shot that Craviotto in the Cornellà goal could do nothing about. The goalkeeper was at fault eight minutes later when Giner supplied the assist for Abdón to score a second.

Reina in the Mallorca goal saved well from a Valentín effort five minutes into the second period as Cornellà again showed some class but not the threat. Abdón should have added a third after combining again with Giner, but it was to be Cano who made it three with six minutes left.

Attendance: 6,590.
