Defender Joan Sastre maintained Real Mallorca's unbeaten run in Segunda B Grupo 3 with an eighty-ninth minute deflected shot which came at the end of a game that home side Badalona had mostly dominated.

Badalona, in mid-table, were not of the same defensive mindset as Mallorca's recent opponents. Querol almost put them ahead after three minutes, and after 24 minutes a shot from Maestre took a deflection and went past Reina in the Mallorca goal to put Badalona in front.

Mallorca had a decent penalty appeal turned down just before this, and another shout for a penalty was declined with twenty minutes to go of the match.

In the second half, an early Bonilla effort hinted at a turnaround for Mallorca, but Badalona immediately afterwards nearly added a second. Despite taking greater control and being denied that penalty when Abdón was bundled over, an equaliser seemed unlikely until Sastre's moment right at the end.

Some bad news for Mallorca was that Lago Junior was taken off with what could prove to be a bad injury.
