Mallorca, six points clear at the top, at home to Olot, struggling to keep out of the drop zone.

A bright start for Mallorca saw them ahead through Abdon in the fourteenth minute. Having deflected Salva Ruiz's shot, his celebrations earned him a booking.

The woodwork denied Mallorca twice in the final ten minutes of the half - Raíllo headed onto the bar from a corner and then Lago hit a post following good work by Bustos.

Two minutes after the break and Mallorca were two up through Aridai. Olot, who had only come close to scoring once during the first 45 minutes, forced Reina into a double save and soon after, in the 66th minute, the match was as good as over when Abdon volleyed in his second.

Lago almost made it four with a bicycle kick, with Olot appearing to have given up. Out of the blue, Barnils scored for the visitors with three minutes remaining.

With Elche drawing three-all, Mallorca extended their lead to nine points with three matches remaining. Villarreal B were kicking off later.
