There has been a fair in Lluc since the end of the last century.
The Fira Serra de Tramuntana does perhaps go under the radar somewhat compared with others which tend to attract more publicity.
But this is a fair that combines so many different things that make it well worth visiting - the spectacular setting in the Tramuntana, the sanctuary and the wide range of artisan products, be these food, wine, jewellery, whatever.
The farm-based products are especially relevant, given that there are moves to brand and promote products ‘made in the Tramuntana’. The Lluc fair is therefore assuming an important role in this drive, as the fair’s name implies.
The Blauets choir usually performs and there is also folk dance as well as the chance to visit the sanctuary. A relaxed fair for a good day out.
