The third edition of the Evolution Mallorca Film Festival drew to a close on Monday night with awards for a Majorcan production and a special mention for the subject of Sunday’s interview in the Bulletin.

Palma.—This year’s festival was much bigger and better than the previous two editions and it would appear that the festival has found a very accommodating home here in Palma.
This year, a total of 43 feature films, short films, long and short documentaries from all over the world and covering a wide range of topics were screened during the four day festival at Cine Ciutat.
And, on Monday night the jury, made up of Gitta Uhlig, Titus, Ana Rodriguez Rossell and Antonio Gutmeyer, announced the winners of this year’s festival and productions which they also wanted to single out for a special mention.

Best Documentary
Revolution, directed by Rob Stewart, won the Best Documentary category, Judith Kaufmann, won Best Cinematography for Inbetween Worlds in which Best Actor Feature Film, Moshin Ahmady starred.
Best actress Feature Film went to Lana Cooper who starred in the German production Love Steaks which went on to win Best Feature Film.The Israeli  production, directed  by Yotam Ben David,  Hisha ‘arut was named Best Short Film with On the 7th Day, getting an Honourable Mention in the Short Film category - Maria Monedero went on to win Best Actress Short Film for the same film while Best Actor Short Film went to Roberto Agostino, who starred in Piove.
