Balearic hotels have closed on contracts for summer 2017 with German, British and Scandinavian tour operators. These include price rises of up to 15%, the reason for this being, as is very familiar, the high demand that is currently coming the Balearics way. Hotel associations in Alcudia, Cala Millor, Palmanova-Magalluf, Playa de Palma and Pollensa are, though, also saying that the price rises are being achieved because of renovations and increased star ratings over the past two years: ones that have been called for by the tour operators.

Hello. And Bye.
A new tourist tax, a 15% price hike and and a crashing Pound. Let's see how 2017 works out for you.
Not a good day to release bad news about next year's prices. It would be nice to see the tourism minister wearing his 'controlling hat' for this one, by limiting price increases for next year. Of course he has no power against the tour operators and hoteliers who most certainly will be cashing in big time on UK's brexit.
