The National Police have opened an investigation into the death of a man who fell from a height of several metres down a ramp at Palma’s Son Sant Joan Airport on Monday night.

The young German, whose identity has not been released, suffered critical injuries and was finally confirmed dead at Son Espases hospital hours later.

The officers inspected the scene where he fell and are examining the security cameras to determine whether he jumped intentionally.
