Japan comes to Mallorca

Francesca Arcidiaco, born in Sicily but a long time resident in the UK, is an artist trained in traditional Japanese painting techniques.

She will be presenting her exhibition “The Splendor of the Rising Sun” in collaboration with the Fundación Dionís Bennàssar in October. The exhibition, taking place in Pollensa, will begin with a private viewing on Friday, October 18, and will run from October 19 to 27.

Arcidiaco’s work will feature silk paintings, folding screens, and scrolls, inspired by nature and classic Japanese themes. She aims to highlight the connection between Japanese culture and the Impressionist Movement, creating an oasis of peace through art.
