On 9th February, Palma’s Pere Garau Square will become the epicentre of the Chinese New Year celebrations.
Organised by the Chinese Association of the Balearic Islands (Achinib), this event, declared a Festival of Municipal Public Interest, promises a day full of colour, music, and tradition.

- 11am - 11.15am: Opening ceremony: Lion dances by ACHINIB.
- 11.15am – 11.30am: Speeches: The Mayor of Palma and other officials will give a few words.
- 11.30am - 11.45am: First Dragon Dance
- 11.45am - 11.50am: Chinese Classical Dance "Xiang Wang Xing", performed by students from Huayue Educational Centre.
- 11.50am - 11.55am: "Good Luck Comes with Chinese New Year", performed by students from Huayue Educational Centre.
- 11.55am - 12.10pm: Kung-fu performance by students from the NingGuangTang Centre for Oriental Arts Research.
- 12.10pm - 12.15pm: Violin Concert by students of the Vivace Orchestra from Estudio Bausá.
- 12.15pm - 12.20pm: Chinese Folk Dance

12.20pm - 12.25pm: Choir performance by CEIP Son Canals Choir, directed by Roberta Minucci.

- 12.40pm - 12.45pm: "The Most Fascinating Ethnic Style", performed by students from Huayue Educational Centre.
- 12.45pm - 12.50pm: Chinese Classical Poetry by the Children's Group from Huayue Educational Centre.
- 12.50pm - 1pm: Mini-Festival
- 1pm - 1.15pm: Fan Dance and Tai Chi by NingGuangTang Centre for Oriental Arts Research.
- 1.15pm - 1.20pm: Traditional Chinese Jazz Dane. "The Union of Flowers and the Moon", performed by students and teachers from Huayue Educational Centre.
- 1.20pm - 1.30pm: Chinese Song "I Truly Love You", performed by David Li from Huayue Educational Centre, Laiming Tsang from agora Portails and students from the Huayue Educational Centre.
- 1.30pm - 1.40pm: Dance Melody. Tang Music & Dance, Tibetan Dance Kumara, performed by students and teachers from Huayue Educational Centre.
- 1.40pm – 4pm: Break Time: Various food and game stalls will be set up around the square throughout the day.
- 4pm - 7.30pm: Modern Dances: Various K-pop performances featuring famous groups.
- 7.30pm - 8pm: Gegants de Son Rapinya parade (giant figures)

8pm - 8.30pm: End of the Celebration: The festival will conclude with a Correfoc (fire run).
