Days of circus and music in Esporles

There are a number of contemporary circus events in Mallorca, such as Circaire in Alcudia in early May.

But the Circus of the Cultures Festival in Esporles arguably tops them all in terms of all-round entertainment. This is because the programme over three days is chock full of music acts as well as circus performers.

The circus acts are from Mallorca, Ibiza, the mainland, Germany, Ecuador and Argentina. There are clowns, trick cyclists, illusionists, you name it. On the music front, top billing goes to none other than Los Bravos, the current incarnation, that is, of the group who were formed in Mallorca in the sixties and had the huge international hit, ‘Black is Black’.
All this and it only costs a fiver a day. Money well spent.
