Exhibition by Colombian artist in Puerto Andratx

Jorge Alonso Zapata a chronicle of the centre of Medellin that can be discovered in the HMH art gallery.

The Colombian artist inaugurated on Wednesday, March 6,  the exhibition "Chronicle of the New World" at the HMH Gallery in Puerto Andratx. Jorge Alonso Zapata, based in Medellin, presents a series of works, which can be seen until Thursday, March 21.

For more than two decades, Jorge Zapata has been recording the centre of Medellin in an incisive and patient visual chronicle.

In his naive-looking paintings, flat colors, bright contrasts and simple figures with defined edges, he has forged a daring taxonomy of the unclassifiable.

Without comments or judgments, those expelled and excluded from the city are displayed there, spaces and bodies-detritus to the East of the official Paisa stories.
