Petra packs its fair schedule

If Inca packs a heck of a lot into its weekend fairs, Petra manages to do likewise over a much shorter period.

The PetraFest, aka the Petra Art and Business Show, clearly has a nod in the direction of both local art and businesses, but the seven hours of the show includes a whole load of music, including the favourite fiestas’ DJ, Juan Campos, folk dance, line dance, food trucks, craft beers and a three-hour wine and olive oil tasting.

At the end of all this lot, there are fireworks. Petra is a very good example of how to hold what amounts to a self-contained and packed-schedule fair.
