It’s probably fair to say that, for most people, food products from Soller would tend to mean olives, oranges and prawns.

Maybe this is a reason, therefore, for holding a fair to demonstrate that Soller gastronomy has much to offer meat eaters. The fourth ‘Carn i Embotit’ market will start with the opening of an exhibition about the history of ‘embotits’ (cured ground meat products) made in Soller, itself based on a book about this history.

For sampling purposes, there will be barbecues throughout the day, while for further gastronomy heritage purposes there is a guided tour of Soller embotit makers. There will also be folk dance, pipers and show cooking.
