Mallorca is set to host its first international ballooning festival from October 23 to 27 in Capdepera.
This inaugural Illes Balears Ballooning Festival will feature over 20 hot air balloons and pilots from across Europe, creating a stunning display against the island’s sea and mountain backdrop. Balloon enthusiasts can look forward to five days of breathtaking flights and vibrant, colorful shapes in the sky, reminiscent of childhood adventures like Willy Fogg’s famous journey.
Participants from around twelve countries, including Poland, Switzerland, Lithuania, the UK, Belgium, France, and the Netherlands, will showcase their skills. Daily flights will occur between 8am and 4pm, offering spectacular aerial views of Mallorca’s most scenic spots.
The festival will also host a photography competition, rewarding the best images captured during the event.
A coordinated light display will illuminate the sky, adding a magical touch. This festival marks a growing trend in unique tourist experiences in Mallorca, promising a visual and sensory delight.
