Cool Days Festival returns in May

The alternative artistic festival organised by the Arta Theatre since 2005 will be held this year between May 9 and 12 and will feature as headliners the artist Isidoro Valcárcel Medina, the singer and songwriter Julieta, and the theater company Circus Ronaldo.

Isidoro Valcárcel Medina is a National Prize for Plastic Arts (2007) and Velázquez Prize (2015) laureate. He will present the performance ‘Meeting of Artists’, an action that proposes a unique dialogue with the inhabitants of the town of Arta to reflect on art and what it means to be an artist. His artistic interventions have always been characterized by rigor, coherence, and commitment far from the most commercial aspects of art.

The singer, songwriter, and producer Julieta will perform on the night of Saturday, May 11 at the amphitheatre of Na Batlessa at 10.30pm. Established as one of the breakthrough voices in Catalan pop and urban music, blending electronic, pop, and reggaeton.

Finally, the theatre company Circo Ronaldo will bring their show ‘Swing’ to Arta. With an exclusive performance for schools on May 9, and double performances for all audiences on May 10 and 11, they evoke the atmosphere of the circus from the first half of the 20th century with a staging of contagious joy.
