The XXIV Sheep and Goat fair in Calvia offers a wide range of events on the 13 and 14 of April.
The Fair is an excellent opportunity to bring knowledge and innovation to the Calvia countryside, which is why there will also be a training course for professionals interested in the livestock sector, focusing on relevant new legislative issues.
Saturday, April 13
The weekend kicks off with the opening of the fair, featuring captivating sheep and goat shows in the church square. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the Handicraft and Agro-food Market. Additionally, there's an exciting exhibition of vintage motorcycles, organized by the Club Bultaco Calvia. Kids will have a blast with various activities, including painting workshops, face painting, and storytelling sessions by Tomeu Granera, focusing on environmental consciousness and the significance of water conservation.
The festivities continue with a crowd-pleasing fideuá, hosted by AMIPA of the CEIP de ses Quarterades, followed by an entertaining children's performance by Cucorba. For canine enthusiasts, there's a thrilling shepherds' exhibition-contest organized by Amics del Pastoreig de Calvia. As the day winds down, join in the communal lamb torrada arranged by the Associació de Persones Majors de Es Capdella and the Quintos 2006. The evening wraps up with lively music and dancing, featuring a performance by Arreu.

The fair continues on Sunday, showcasing the Handicraft and Agroalimentary Market, along with another round of captivating sheep and goat shows. Don't miss the impressive display of tractors and machinery from the farmers of the municipality of Calvia. The day promises a plethora of activities, including a morphological contest, parades, shearing demonstrations, and delectable tastings of lamb meat and Mallorcan cheeses.
The festivities draw to a close with the award ceremony for the morphological contest and an enchanting ball de bot show.
