Introducing an Arts Society Open Event in collaboration with Writers and Readers of the Balearics. A talk by Tony Mulliken of Midas PR
You’ve toiled away for months, (maybe years) and at last you bring forth your masterpiece, a work of a full 350 pages. You tell your friends. ‘Wow.’ they breathe. You nod and smile proudly. ‘Well done you!’ they say, glazing over, terrified you might start recounting the entire plot. And just as you say ‘Once upon a time’ they remember they left the iron on and edge away, waving. As you watch their heels disappear in a cloud of dust you feel crushed. You are in full-on ‘Ancient Mariner’ mode. You want to tell everyone your story - not least of all a PUBLISHER!
The snag is, how do you engage interest long enough for the Gods to so much as glance at your manuscript, before tossing it onto the Out pile? At this event, helpful hints may be yours!
Join The Arts Society Mallorca at an additional Talk added to the calendar this year, open to members and non-members. This event is a unique opportunity to benefit from Tony Mulliken’s wealth of experience - and hear some of the wonderful stories associated with the authors he has promoted in a publishing career spanning 50 years.
Founder of the Arts & Culture PR Company, Midas PR London, Tony is listed in Who’s Who and is a leading light in the world of book PR and publishing. He has worked with hundreds of authors from every genre. Tony’s insight into getting a book published and reaching its audience will be of interest to aspiring authors and published authors alike.
As the leading Book PR company in the UK, Midas’ clients have included The London Book Fair, The Sharjah International Book Fair, The Frankfurt Book Fair, The British Book Awards, Hay Festival, and the Cheltenham Festival.
The 45 minute talk will be followed by questions from the audience and a Drinks and Tapas Reception. Limited Space available.
