Pianist and composer Isis Montero Exposito is one of the leading names on the current Latin jazz scene in Mallorca and Spain.
From Palma she is also one of the strongest advocates of institutional support for the music industry, having been president of the ProMúsics Mallorca association for music professionals that was founded in 2020.
Known for her vibrant and energetic live performances, her Isis ‘Apache’ Montero project is a fusion of Latin jazz and flamenco. A five-piece, she has teamed up with the likes of flamenco percussionist Benji Habichuela and Cuban drummer Nailé Sosa, who is a member of the Alternatilla All-Woman Jazz Band. The concert is the third for this year’s Alcudia Jazz Festival and the only free one.
