Back in Mallorca and still waiting

In 2008, American singer-songwriter Dawn Landes performed at the Sa Nostra Cultural Centre in Palma for that year’s Waiting for Waits season of concerts.

This has since evolved into Women don’t Wait for Waits (i.e. Tom Waits). She is returning to Mallorca, having since released another four albums as well as EPs.

It’s said of her that her ability to move through styles ranging from folk to indie through alt-country and bluegrass is one of her hallmarks. “But what distinguishes Landes from her contemporaries is the strength of her voice.”
