From Coronation Orchestra to Petra

Vasko Vassilev is no stranger to Mallorca.

The Bulgarian violinist, now a naturalised British citizen, has previously performed on the island on various. He did so last summer and on the back of having led the Coronation Orchestra for the Coronation service for King Charles and Queen Camilla.

He has previously been accompanied by Miquel Estelrich and he is teaming up with the pianist again for the concert for Petra’s Sant Praxedis Fiestas.

A quintet also comprises mezzosoprano Sandra Ferrández, baritone Javier Franco, and guitarist José Maria Gallardo del Rey. The concert will represent quite a contrast to the wild fiesta goings-on this Saturday - the Festa de ses Clovelles almond shells and water fight.
