The Orquestra Camerata Balear comprises musicians aged between 15 and 25 who are studying at the Conservatory in Palma.
All excelling in their instruments, there are 35 members of the orchestra, which was founded in 2020 by Daniel Mulet, who also founded the Orfeó Balear choir. He studied piano at the Conservatory before going to Madrid to study orchestra directing.
He is the conductor for the orchestra’s New Year concert. In keeping with other concerts for the New Year period, this will have a Johann Strauss flavour. The title is in fact ‘From Vienna to Palma’. Brahms, Fauré and Andrew Lloyd Webber (’Phantom of the Opera’) will also feature.
