The Philharmonia Frankfurt is one of Germany’s newest orchestras.

Founded in 2019, it has rapidly acquired a strong reputation for a wide repertoire that draws on a Frankfurt multicultural society mix. Members of the orchestra are from Europe, South America, Asia, Australia, Israel and Turkey.

Performances are as a full orchestra and as a chamber orchestra, and it is the chamber version that will be coming to Palma for a concert that will feature Elgar, Mendelssohn and Tchaikovsky, plus Sulkhan Tzintzadze. A Georgian composer who died in 1991, his works included numerous film scores as well as those for ballet, opera and orchestra. The programme will have his ‘Three Miniatures for String Orchestra’.
