Historical instruments’ maestro at the Charterhouse

Dmitry Ablogin is regarded as one of the most brilliant and creative pianists of his generation.

He was born in Moscow in 1989, and following studies in his home city and in Frankfurt, he quickly established himself as one of the most sought-after and versatile artists. His awards include winning the International Chopin Competition for Historical Instruments, while his recordings have produced the highly acclaimed ‘Beethoven’s Diabelli Variations’.

In Mallorca, his talent for historical instruments and indeed the connection with Chopin, takes him to Valldemossa’s Charterhouse and the 1851 Pleyel piano. The programme features works by Chopin, Beethoven, Mendelssohn and the Irish composer John Field.
