The violinist Francisco Fullana will perform with the Balearic Symphony Orchestra in March. | M. ARRANZ
Francisco Fullana lives in the USA, but tends to ‘commute’ between the States and Spain for concert performances.
Born in Palma, he is one of the world’s great violin talents, having started playing the instrument at the age of four before entering the Conservatory in Palma when he was seven. Now 35, he has received any number of accolades for live performances and recordings, the latter having included Vivaldi’s ‘Four Seasons’ as artist-in-residence with the Grammy-winning American ensemble Apollo’s Fire.
For one of his periodic returns to Mallorca, he is once again teaming up with the Balearic Symphony Orchestra for a programme that will feature Beethoven’s Eighth Symphony and what is a now Fullana classic, namely ‘Four Seasons’.
