The winner in 1983 of the first Oscar for a Spanish production in the category of best foreign language film, José Luis Garci, will take part in a special concert with the Balearic Symphony Orchestra based on music from the director’s films.
One of the concerts for the orchestra’s 2024/2025, its title is ‘Memorias sonoras de dos cowboys’ (‘Midnight Cowboys’ is a radio show about cinema he has been involved with for many years).
This will also feature Spanish diplomat Inocencio Arias, so there is talk (in Spanish) but for what is something of an innovation by the orchestra and an occasion with one of the greats of Spanish film.
