Zuzanna Sosnowska is acknowledged as an outstanding cellist of her generation. From Poland, she began her cello studies at the age of seven.
Her achievements include first prize at the Anton Rubinstein International Music Competition in Düsseldorf. Orchestras she has performed with include the National Philharmonic and the Mallorca Chamber Orchestra. And she is returning to Mallorca for the chamber orchestra’s final concert for the Puccini-Dvorak Festival season.
The programme features Dvorak’s last solo concerto - for cello and orchestra - that was written in 1894 and was premiered in London in 1896. There is also Dvorak’s New World, his most famous work, that was composed when he was in New York in 1893.
