Fira B is the professional market for music and the performing arts in the Balearics.

This market entails workshops and conferences that are for the professionals. Its public face is an array of performances which featured the performing arts in October and now focuses on music.

With the live performances, the fair showcases a host of artists and bands, many of them from Mallorca and the Balearics. Some are well known, others less so, but they are representative of a vibrant music scene on the islands that embraces all genres.

Four of the first five concerts are classical. They are at the Xesc Forteza municipal theatre. On Thursday, the main centre is Es Gremi, where the mix will be highly eclectic - pop, indie, electronica, world, rock. Among the acts will be big names in Mallorca, such as Xanguito. The concerts are free, quite short and excellent way to get k
