Nacha Pop were one of the great names of Spanish pop music in the 1980s.
Associated with La Movida, the Madrid scene of the 80s that represented something of a cultural revolution in Spain, they had formed in 1978. Their leader, in effect, was singer-songwriter Antonio Vega, considered to have been one of the most important pop musicians in the post-Franco era. He died in 2009 at which point the band ceased to be (for the second time). They reformed in 2012.
The band will be in Magalluf for the first of the Es Jardí series of summer concerts. Under the theme of Children of the 80s, they will be part of what will be an opening party for the season.
