Deva Premal and Miten. | Facebook
Andy Desmond’s career goes back to the the mid-1960s.
He became a stalwart of the British rock music scene, was a special guest on Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours Tour and opened for Ry Cooder. The lifestyle got to him, he gave it all up and joined an ashram in India. Given the name Prabhu Miten, Friend of God, he met German singer Jolantha Fries (now Deva Premal), and they have since brought Sanskrit mantras into the mainstream. Collaborations have included work with Cher.
With special guest English musician and producer, Joby Baker, Deva Premal and Miten are bringing their songs of the spirit and the power of mantra to Palma. Music with an “open heart and a deep sense of hopefulness”.
